Slim Jxmmi Quits Music Group, Rae Sremmurd

Reports are that the better rapper of music group Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi has quit the group.

In a series of tweets which he quickly deleted, the Mississippi MC revealed he is “Not SremmLife” anymore, leaving fans to wonder what caused the rift.

He referenced Offset’s viral “Y’all won” tweet, which the Migos rapper posted after his breakup with Cardi B became public.

Jxmmi also posted a text that reads, “Rip slim Jxm,” while teasing a second solo project to drop this year.

He also threw some shade in the direction of his brother Swae Lee, possibly alluding to the fact that Swae has had more mainstream commercial success, appearing on songs like “Sunflower” with Post Malone and “Unforgettable” with French Montana.

Swae Lee had addressed the state of the group earlier this week, writing on Twitter, “I’m never leaving SremmLife stop the speculation.”

It looks like both rappers are gearing up for solo efforts this year. At the end of December, Swae described his next solo album as “the most stupid solo project ever.”

“With this project, I’m not playing,” he added. “I’m stepping on n****s’ throats. I’m gonna up the standards for these 2010-whatever artists. I’m gonna push the music forward.”
